About Us

The Substance Awareness Council of I.R.C. was founded in 1989 as a resource for information and referral, and has expanded the services offered as the community need has increased.
Prevention is our primary focus. Substance abuse education during adolescence is key to prevention. The council offers both group and individual outpatient counseling for adolescents and adults.
The Council receives funding from grants, foundations and donations, and operates under the direction of a volunteer board of directors. General board meetings are held monthly and are open to the public.
