Experienced Assembly Technician

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented LED Fixture Assembler to join our production team. This position is responsible for assembling LED lighting fixtures and related components according to order information, engineered drawings, work instructions, and established quality standards.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with hand tools, learns quickly, retains information, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. This role requires someone who can work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble LED fixtures and components using soldering iron, hand tools, power tools, and various assembly equipment.
  • Read and accurately follow order information, engineered drawings, diagrams, work instructions, BOMs, and assembly procedures.
  • Perform repetitive assembly tasks while maintaining consistent quality and productivity.
  • Measure, align, position, fasten, and inspect components according to specifications.
  • Identify defects, inconsistencies, or assembly issues and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Use good judgment and think outside the box when troubleshooting assembly problems.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail, particularly when working with small components, wiring, hardware, and electrical assemblies.
  • Learn and retain assembly procedures, product specifications, and manufacturing processes.
  • Perform basic quality checks throughout the assembly process.
  • Ensure products are assembled correctly, safely, and according to customer and company requirements.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
  • Properly use, maintain, and care for hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and other production equipment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
  • Communicate production issues, material shortages, quality concerns, or equipment problems to supervisors.
  • Work effectively as part of a team while also being capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Assist with other manufacturing, packaging, material handling, or production duties as needed.
  • Meet established production schedules and quality standards.
  • Demonstrate flexibility when working on different products, assemblies, or production processes.

Qualifications & Desired Characteristics

  • Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, electrical, lighting, or a related hands-on environment is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, diagrams, measurements, and written instructions.
  • Ability to learn new processes and retain information with minimal repeated instruction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively when challenges arise.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and focus.
  • Reliable, dependable, and punctual with strong attendance.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
