Description
The Andre Dawson Classic, an annual round-robin collegiate baseball tournament organized by Major League Baseball (MLB) to spotlight Division-I Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), will return to the Jackie Robinson Training Complex (JRTC) in Vero Beach, Florida, from Friday, February 21, 2025, to Sunday, February 23, 2025. Now in its 17th year, the Andre Dawson Classic celebrates the exceptional talent of HBCU baseball programs, providing a platform for some of the nation’s most accomplished student-athletes. This year's tournament will feature teams from the following HBCUs:
- Alabama A&M University (Huntsville, AL) - 2nd appearance
- Alabama State University (Montgomery, AL) - 9th appearance
- Florida A&M University (Tallahassee, FL) - 5th appearance
- Grambling State University (Grambling, LA) - 13th appearance
- Jackson State University (Jackson, MS) - 3rd appearance
- Prairie View A&M University (Prairie View, TX) - 10th appearance
- Southern University (Baton Rouge, LA) - 17th appearance
- University of Missouri (Columbia, MO) - 1st appearance
